Those who are not familiar with Izhevsk, will be quite surprised about the high quality (and amount) of music from this strange city in Russia. For many years electronic bands from Izhevsk have been making great tracks, and a lot of the material was released on labels in Moscow or St. Petersburg. At the moment Kama Records is probably the most reputable label from Izhevsk, which delivers regular compilations of local artists. Fitness is a very moving/grooving mix CD, presenting some of the most prominent artists in Izhevsk, as well as two guest artists from the UK. This is a nice collection of house/electro-disco from Izhevsk's favourites - Cocoa Tunez, Gattaca and D-Pulse (with a great remix from An-Tone). The track of Der Omnibus is quite cool, reminding stuff like System7 or The Orb, but still on the house side, making a successful combination of trancey electronica and house rhythms. As the title suggests, this CD can be used for all your fitness and aerobics needs, but it will also suit typical home listening sessions (which of course may turn into sudden aerobics workouts)
